History
The Canine Sports Centre opened its doors in January 2005. After operating for over a decade in inadequate spaces, GUIDES CANINS has finally consolidated all its activities and services under a single roof in an enchanting location in the municipality of Saint-Lazare . The perfect spot for working on the master-dog relationship, our centre sits on a 76-acre plot of land surrounded by mixed forest and a pine plantation. From this location, we offer classes in canine sports, workshops and conferences on various topics concerning our best friends' physical and mental health, as well as boarding and grooming services and a boutique where you'll find specialized equipment.
Our indoor training activities and classes are held in a 13,000-square-foot
building, which also houses our grooming room and 20-run boarding facility.
The three fenced rings outdoors are used for agility classes and training
during the warmer months. We also have four rings used solely for agility
and disc dog competitions. Each year we host two agility and disc dog
competitions that attract more than 285 dogs and their humans. Showers
and washrooms are available for participants' convenience to help make
their stay with us an enjoyable experience where they can share quality
time with their two- and four-footed friends!
A total of 5 km in trails, for walking in the summer and skijoring in the winter, wind through the forest. They are perfect for running your dog before or after his class and for partaking in a little skijoring to help pass the chilly months.
